What is Emerald empowerment?
Emerald Empowerment is Kappa Gamma Chi's annual campaign to stand against domestic violence and partner abuse, formerly known as “Take Back the Night”.
Every spring, Emerald Empowerment chairs plan a weekend full of fundraising events and donate 100% of the proceeds to a domestic violence organization. In the past it’s been mainly Casa Myrna or Transition House.
This year, we will be partnering with Stone House!

About Stone House
Stone House makes a difference in our community by caring for and protecting adult and child survivors of domestic abuse, and helping them rebuild safe, secure, independent lives of purpose and self-fulfillment.
Stone House opened its doors in 1974 as an alternative to institutionalization for women with mental health issues. Since then, we’ve evolved into a robust, inclusive and essential home and community space for adult, child, and family survivors of domestic violence.
